The four chemical levels critical to healthy water are free chlorine calcium hardness ph and total alkalinity.
But if the water is off kilter a little bit you will need a ph balancing chemical to get it back to where it needs to be.
Ph 7 4 to 7 6 total alkalinity 80 to 120 ppm.

Dip the test strip into your pool away from jets and at elbow depth for 15 seconds.
